Quetta: Internet services remain suspended in the provincial capital, Quetta, since last night, causing severe difficulties for residents. The sudden and unannounced disruption has affected businesses, students, and professionals who rely on the internet for daily activities. However, mobile networks remain operational, allowing calls and messages.

Speaking about the difficulties, Shahbaz Ahmed, a student, said, “I have missed several deadlines due to this outage. The lack of prior notice has caused significant losses for many of us who work online.”

Similarly, university student Ayesha Baloch expressed frustration, stating, “I was supposed to submit an assignment today, but I couldn’t access study materials or email my professor. The authorities should at least inform the public in advance.”

Local shopkeeper Abdul Rahim also voiced concerns, saying, “Many businesses rely on online transactions. The suspension has led to financial losses, and we have no idea when services will be restored.”

Despite the widespread impact, there has been no official statement from the authorities, including the police, regarding the reason for the internet suspension or when it will be restored.
