Quetta, March 7, 2025 – Balochistan’s Secretary for Information, Imran Khan, visited the Directorate General of Public Relations (DGPR) in Quetta, where he distributed motorcycles to newspaper hawkers to support their work.
🔹 Warm Welcome at DGPR: The Information Secretary was received by DGPR Balochistan Director General Muhammad Noor Khetran and other officials.
🔹 Boost for Newspaper Industry: Imran Khan stated that providing motorcycles would motivate hawkers and enhance newspaper distribution efficiency.
🔹 Support for Newspaper Hawkers: He emphasized that this initiative is a significant step toward promoting the newspaper industry and addressing hawkers’ challenges.
🔹 Better Delivery Service: DGPR Director General Muhammad Noor Khetran highlighted that the motorcycles would improve the performance of newspaper hawkers and ensure timely newspaper delivery.
🔹 Balochistan Government’s Commitment: Imran Khan reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the welfare of journalists and media workers.
🔹 Hawkers Appreciate the Initiative: Newspaper hawkers welcomed the move and expressed their gratitude to the Balochistan government and relevant authorities.
🔹 Motorcycles Distributed Through Lucky Draw: Under the Hawkers Welfare Fund, five motorcycles were allocated to newspaper sellers through a transparent lottery system.
🔹 Future Welfare Plans: The Information Secretary announced more welfare initiatives under the Hawkers Welfare Fund and vowed to seek increased funding from higher authorities.
🔹 Request for Housing & Employment Schemes: Newspaper hawkers urged the Balochistan government to introduce housing schemes and more job opportunities to improve their living conditions.
