Quetta: Mufti Abdul Baqi Noorzai, a senior leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), was killed after unidentified gunmen opened fire on him on Airport Road, Quetta, on Sunday night.
According to police, Mufti Noorzai sustained critical injuries and was immediately shifted to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his wounds on the way, hospital officials confirmed.
Security forces have launched a full-scale investigation, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the attackers behind this targeted killing.
