QUETTA: Internet services remain suspended in Quetta and various parts of Balochistan for the second consecutive day, causing severe disruptions for businesses, students, and the general public.

The government has not issued an official statement regarding the outage. However, Shahid Rind, a government spokesperson, cited security concerns as the reason behind the suspension.

Students preparing for exams have been particularly affected. “I had an online test today, but I couldn’t even log in. This disruption is a nightmare for students like me,” said Ayesha, a university student.

Business owners also expressed frustration. “Our entire system runs on the Internet. Payments, orders—everything is delayed. This is costing us heavily,” said Bilal, an online retailer.

Common citizens, too, are struggling. “Even simple tasks like sending emails or checking bank transactions have become impossible. We feel completely disconnected,” said Irfan, a resident of Quetta.

The prolonged outage has sparked concerns about digital access and its impact on daily life. Many are urging authorities to restore services immediately to prevent further disruptions.
