QUETTA, April 11: A high-level delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) led by its central Secretary General, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, met Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta on Friday and offered to mediate in the ongoing political tension caused by the Balochistan National Party’s (BNP) sit-in protest.

The delegation included JUI-F’s provincial chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay, Leader of the Opposition in Balochistan Assembly Younas Aziz Zehri, and other senior leaders.

The meeting focused on the deteriorating law and order situation in the province and the political deadlock stemming from BNP’s protest.

During the meeting, JUI-F leadership expressed concern over the prevailing situation and presented an offer to play a neutral and constructive role in resolving the matter through dialogue.

Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti appreciated the gesture and briefed the delegation on the government’s stance regarding the BNP’s protest and overall security conditions.

“Both the government and the opposition share the responsibility of restoring peace in Balochistan,” CM Bugti stated. He praised JUI-F as a responsible political force, noting that “whether in government or opposition, the party has always played a positive and commendable role.”

CM Bugti reiterated that his government seeks political solutions through mutual consultation and inclusive dialogue with all stakeholders.
