Eight Pakistani nationals were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Iran’s Sistan-Balochistan province, according to official sources.

Iranian authorities confirmed that the victims were attacked in the early hours of the morning while working in a village located in the Meharistan district. The Pakistanis were employed at a local workshop where they carried out auto bodywork, including denting, painting, and polishing.

Officials added that all eight individuals hailed from Bahawalpur, a city in southern Punjab. They were residing at the same workshop where the deadly assault occurred.
