MASTUNG, April 14, 2025 —A powerful explosion near a Balochistan Constabulary vehicle on Dasht Road in Mastung claimed the lives of three personnel and left two others injured on Tuesday.

According to police officials, the blast occurred near Khand Mehsori and was carried out using a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) hidden in a motorcycle. The Balochistan Constabulary officers were returning from duty when they were targeted.

Rescue teams and security forces rushed to the scene and shifted the martyred and injured personnel to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The area was cordoned off, and a search operation has been launched to trace the attackers.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. He assured the families of the martyred that the government stands with them in this difficult hour. “Those behind this cowardly act of terrorism will not be spared. We will bring the perpetrators to justice,” he stated.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism and said that such attacks would not shake the morale of security forces.
