Pakistan Downs 5 Indian Fighter Jets, Destroys Brigade HQ in Response to Cross-Border Attacks.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s military on Wednesday confirmed a strong retaliatory response to unprovoked Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in the destruction of multiple Indian military installations and the downing of five Indian fighter jets.

Addressing a press briefing, Director General ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Chaudhry clarified that there was no violation of Pakistani airspace by Indian aircraft, and no Pakistani jets entered Indian territory.

“At no point were any Indian aircraft allowed into Pakistan’s airspace, and similarly, none of our aircraft crossed into Indian airspace,” Gen Chaudhry said, debunking circulating claims.

The military’s statement came after India reportedly launched cross-border attacks under “Operation Sindoor”, targeting six Pakistani localities shortly after 1:00 am on Wednesday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian strikes used various weapons, causing 24 impact points, resulting in the deaths of 26 Pakistani civilians and injuries to 46 others.

In a swift counteroffensive, the Pakistan Army targeted and destroyed several Indian checkposts, including a brigade headquarters used to coordinate ceasefire violations. Other key Indian military sites struck included Chhatri, Jura, Sarlia-1, and a unit battalion headquarters.

Footage of the destroyed brigade HQ was presented during the briefing as evidence of India’s aggressive actions.
