According to official sources, the gunmen targeted the check post and fled the scene shortly after the deadly ambush. The martyred Levies officials have been identified as Maqbool, Khuda Bakhsh, Ejaz Ahmed, and Muhammad Ali.

The sudden and brutal attack has sparked fear and concern in the region, with law enforcement agencies rushing to the site and launching a search operation to track down the culprits.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the assault, security officials believe it may be linked to ongoing militant activity in parts of Balochistan, where security forces and development projects have increasingly come under attack.

The bodies of the martyred personnel were shifted to a nearby hospital, and preparations for their funerals are underway. Senior officials of the Levies and local administration condemned the attack and vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Samand check post lies along the vital CPEC route, a key infrastructure project in the region. This incident underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement in securing such strategic points across Balochistan.
