The decision follows a petition filed by the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP), citing alleged irregularities in the 2024 general election results.

The recount will be conducted at the Election Commission office in the presence of candidates and their legal representatives to ensure transparency and fairness in the process.

PNAP Chairman Khushhal Khan Kakar is being represented by renowned constitutional expert Salman Akram Raja, while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) candidate Maulvi Shamsuddin is represented by senior lawyer Advocate Kamran Murtaza.

Observers view this development as a critical step toward restoring public trust, ensuring electoral transparency, and upholding justice in the democratic process.

The tribunal’s order is being widely welcomed by civil society and legal experts as a sign of institutional responsiveness to electoral concerns.

The outcome of the recount could potentially impact the final result in the NA-251 constituency, making this a closely watched case in Balochistan’s post-election scenario.
