The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Zhara Police Station, prompting immediate law enforcement response.

According to local security sources, the van was targeted by unknown gunmen, resulting in a fatal shooting that caused panic in the area. Emergency medical teams responded quickly, and the injured were transferred to a trauma center for urgent medical treatment.

Following the deadly attack, enraged locals launched a violent protest by placing the body of the deceased girl in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.

Protesters blocked the main national highway, demanding immediate justice, enhanced public safety, and the arrest of those responsible for the brutal act.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and initiated a counter-terrorism operation to trace the culprits. Crime investigation units, forensic experts, and intelligence officers are now involved in gathering evidence and reviewing possible motives, including links to domestic terrorism or tribal disputes.

The incident has once again raised concerns about border security, the need for better law enforcement infrastructure, and increased government investment in public safety, community policing, and rural transportation safety in conflict-prone regions.
