KOHLU: A tragic incident unfolded in the Must Tawakkali area of Kohlu district, Balochistan, where two young individuals drowned while picnicking at the Sorh Stream, according to official sources from the Levies Force.
The incident occurred when the youths unknowingly entered deep water while enjoying recreational activities near the stream. One of them tragically lost his life, while the other was rescued and shifted in critical condition to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Kohlu for emergency medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the deceased has been identified as Azizullah, son of Ataullah Langani. The rescue operation was carried out with the assistance of Levies personnel and local volunteers, who responded swiftly to the emergency.
This incident highlights the urgent need for public safety awareness, water safety education, and the enforcement of recreational safety regulations in rural and semi-urban regions of Pakistan.
