Qaseem Shah:

Quetta – June 13, 2025: The Government of Balochistan, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has achieved a significant milestone by utilizing 90% of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) funds, marking the highest development fund utilization rate in the last decade, according to Government Spokesperson Shahid Rind.

The spokesperson attributed this record performance to strong leadership, strategic planning, and strict project monitoring by the Chief Minister’s Office. “This success reflects the CM’s vision of transparency, merit, and timely use of public resources,” Rind stated.

The provincial government has set an ambitious goal of achieving 100% fund utilization by the end of the fiscal year 2024-25, with 3,230 development projects expected to be completed this year.

Sector-Wise Budget Allocation Breakdown:

  • 21% allocated to road infrastructure
  • 18% to irrigation
  • 2.3% to the energy sector
  • 11% dedicated to education
  • 8% to healthcare
  • 7% to public health services
  • 6% to productive sectors like agriculture, fisheries, and mineral development

The spokesperson emphasized that this performance marks a clear departure from the past, where fund utilization lagged significantly. Comparative figures reveal only 53% utilization in FY 2021-22, 66% in 2022-23, and 55% in 2023-24.

“The current government’s track record will be remembered as a golden chapter in Balochistan’s governance history,” said Shahid Rind. “Positive reforms have visibly improved governance and public service delivery across the province.”

He added that transparency, accountability, and efficient resource deployment remain at the core of CM Bugti’s agenda, ensuring that public development funds benefit the people in real, measurable ways.
