According to railway authorities, the blast occurred early Sunday and has resulted in transport disruption on one of the critical routes linking southern and central Pakistan. The injured worker was immediately shifted to a local hospital by emergency services, and his condition is reported to be stable.

In response, security forces launched a large-scale public safety operation, swiftly cordoning off the area. A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was deployed to the site to examine the remnants of the explosive device and clear the vicinity for any additional threats.

Police sources said initial findings point to deliberate sabotage or terrorist activity, though no group has claimed responsibility yet. The incident is under investigation, and authorities have promised a strict government response.

This explosion comes amid rising concerns over critical infrastructure security and the increasing vulnerability of transport networks in conflict-prone areas.
