Mir Younas strongly criticized the provincial government for sidelining what he called a vital educational project for the region. “This college should have been a priority, yet it has been ignored once again,” he said. He pointed out that he had already raised concerns about the project director, describing him as incompetent and corrupt, but no action had been taken despite repeated warnings.

Chief of National Party (NP) and the former Chief Minister, Dr. Malik Baloch warned that if the Pakistan Medical Council (PMC) took notice of the lack of funding and attention, it could jeopardize the future of hundreds of medical students. “Neglecting this institution not only affects students but the entire healthcare future of our province,” he added.

Government Promises to Investigate

In response, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, addressed the concerns raised. Speaking from his seat, he said he was unaware of the college being excluded from the PSDP list. “We’ve approved thousands of projects. If this was missed, we’ll look into it. There is nothing personal in this; the matter will be addressed,” he assured.

The protest has brought renewed attention to the lack of transparency in project selection and the need for stronger oversight in public development planning.
