Zhob/Harnai – Monsoon-triggered flash floods have caused casualties in parts of Balochistan, particularly in the districts of Zhob and Harnai. In Zhob’s scenic picnic spot of Saliaza, a sudden flood swept away four members of the same family, including a woman, two young girls, and a child. The victims were from Multan district. Their bodies were recovered and shifted to the Trauma Center Zhob.

The tragic incident occurred approximately 13 kilometers east of Zhob city, where the family was visiting for a picnic when the flash flood struck unexpectedly. The Levies Force along with local residents conducted a swift rescue operation.

In a separate incident in the Khost subdivision of Harnai, rising water levels in a stream stranded three individuals – Hazrat Syed, Zeeshan, and Rehan. Acting promptly on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Harnai Hazrat Wali Kakar, the Levies Force successfully rescued all three men.

Commending the Levies’ timely response, the Deputy Commissioner urged the public to avoid visiting rivers and streams during the monsoon season. He also advised citizens to report any emergencies to the DC Office Control Room to ensure timely action by local authorities.
