Balochistan Health Department Suspends 8 DHOs Over Poor Performance

News Desk:

Quetta: In a significant administrative move, the Balochistan Health Department has suspended eight District Health Officers (DHOs) across the province due to negligence, poor performance, and disruptions in the delivery of healthcare services.

According to the official notification issued by the department, the suspended DHOs were serving in the districts of Chaghi, Kachhi, Jhal Magsi, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, Sibi, Dera Bugti, and Killa Abdullah.

The action was taken after repeated complaints and assessments revealed failures in maintaining public health standards and executing essential health services. The notification further directed the Deputy DHOs of the respective districts to immediately take over as interim in-charges to ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery.

This move is being seen as a critical step toward strengthening the public health system in Balochistan and promoting accountability within the provincial healthcare structure.
