Quetta – August 22, 2025: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has carried out a significant operation, arresting Mir Khan Muhammad, a close aide of Dr. Usman Qazi.

According to official sources, Mir Khan Muhammad obtained a law degree from the International Islamic University before serving as a prosecutor inspector in Balochistan. His professional background, authorities say, provided him with cover for his alleged involvement in unlawful activities.

Investigators revealed that the suspect has confessed to being involved in more than a dozen criminal operations. CTD officials have already initiated a detailed interrogation to identify his wider network and possible connections with militant groups.

Security experts believe the arrest marks a breakthrough in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in Balochistan, as Dr. Usman Qazi and his associates have long been on the radar of law enforcement agencies.

Authorities have assured that further updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
