Staff Reporter:

The Balochistan Home Department has issued an alert, warning of possible floods and damages as monsoon rains intensify across the province. According to officials, heavy rainfall could endanger lives, property, infrastructure, and irrigation assets, particularly in vulnerable districts.

The department has declared that cutting, blocking, or tampering with canals, waterways, and drainage systems is strictly prohibited, especially in Nasirabad and Sibi divisions. Authorities have also banned unauthorized boating and swimming in rivers and canals to prevent accidents.

In addition, any interference with government-led rescue or relief operations during potential flood emergencies has been declared illegal. The Home Department has directed police, Levies, and irrigation officials to enforce the orders strictly. Offenders will face arrest without a warrant and legal action for causing damage or obstruction.

Officials urged the public to cooperate with authorities and avoid risky activities, stressing that collective responsibility is vital to minimize the impact of monsoon-related disasters.
