Sardar Muhammad Khondai:

Chaman – The Pakistan-Afghanistan border crossing at Chaman has been completely sealed following a deadly overnight explosion that claimed six lives, officials confirmed on Friday.

In response to the incident, Pakistani authorities suspended all cross-border movement and shut down internet services in the area. Security forces have been placed on high alert, with military personnel deployed to secure the crossing. Investigative teams remain at the blast site, and senior officials are expected to visit the area.

The closure has left hundreds of Afghan families, who had migrated from Pakistan, stranded on the border in scorching heat. With limited access to food, water, and shelter, many remain in a state of uncertainty. Long queues of vehicles have also piled up on both sides of the border, compounding the humanitarian challenge.

Officials say the suspension will remain in place until investigations are complete and security conditions are reassessed.
