IG Balochistan Vows Strong Action for Peace and Law Enforcement

Khuzdar, October 4 — Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, has emphasized that peace, justice, and mutual respect are the foundation of Balochistan’s historical culture. He said bravery, honor, and hospitality define the province, making it a cradle of peace and unity.

Speaking at a police ceremony in Khuzdar, IG Balochistan praised the sacrifices of the people and martyrs who laid down their lives to restore peace in the province. “Despite facing challenges, the Balochistan Police are actively combating criminal networks and external forces. We are determined to eliminate them from the roots. The enforcement of law and order is our top priority, as peace remains the foremost demand of the people. Without peace, no nation can progress,” he stated.

The event was attended by Commissioner Kalat Division Dr. Tufail Baloch, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Hassan, DIG Kalat Range Abdul Hameed Khosa, SSP Khuzdar Shehzada Umar Abbas Babar, SP Kalat Shehzad Akbar, SP Hub Syed Fazil Shah Bukhari, SP Lasbela Atif Amir, SHO Abdullah Pindrani, SI Maqbool Ahmed, and several other police officials.

Highlighting Balochistan’s diversity, IG Tahir said the province is like a “bouquet of nations” where unity can only be ensured through the supremacy of law. He stressed that police officers must differentiate between ordinary citizens and criminals while working to win public trust. “The people are our real strength, and the police must create more opportunities for public service,” he added.

The Balochistan Police chief also announced reforms to enhance the capacity and professionalism of the police department. He said that resources are being allocated across all districts, while special attention is being given to modern training and technology-based policing.

During his Khuzdar visit, IG Balochistan chaired a Darbar where he listened to the grievances of police personnel and assured them of practical solutions. Earlier, he also presided over a law and order meeting in the Kalat Range, attended by senior security and administrative officials.
