Levies Force personnel in Killa Abdullah staged a protest on Tuesday against the Balochistan government’s decision to merge the Levies Force into the police.
During the demonstration, several personnel wore their traditional official uniforms and blocked the main road, chanting slogans against the merger. The protest disrupted traffic and drew attention from local residents and commuters.

The protesting Levies members demanded that the government withdraw its decision, stating that the force has been serving the people of Balochistan for decades and has played a crucial role in maintaining peace and order, particularly in remote and sensitive areas of the province.

It may be recalled that quettavoice.com had earlier reported that the Balochistan government officially merged the 142-year-old Levies Force into the police. The decision has sparked widespread debate across the province, with critics calling it an attempt to centralize policing powers, while supporters argue it will improve administrative efficiency and law enforcement coordination.
