Quetta – Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that while the province has limited resources, it faces numerous challenges, making it essential for the current government to strike a balance between constraints and urgent public needs. He emphasized the pressing need for solid, result-oriented measures to strengthen all departments and ensure that the benefits of ongoing development projects reach the poorest segments of society.
He expressed these views during separate meetings at the Governor House with Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Culture Zareen Magasi, Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries Haji Barkat Rind, the head of the Khuroti tribe from Quetta, Malik Syed Mir Khuroti, and PML-N leader from Zhob district, Saleem Khan Mandokhail.
Governor Mandokhail reaffirmed the government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive development, stressing that the uplift of remote and underdeveloped areas remains a clear priority. He highlighted the importance of transparency, responsibility, and accountability in governance, as well as the need for public participation in policymaking.
He noted that the people of Quetta city and its surrounding areas are also facing multiple basic issues, which require the mobilization of all available resources to resolve in a sustainable manner. Governor Mandokhail assured both delegations of his full cooperation in addressing their longstanding challenges.
