Killa Saifullah: An important meeting regarding the ongoing national Measles and Rubella vaccination campaign was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Killa Saifullah, Sagar Kumar. The meeting aimed to review vaccination activities across the district, assess field team performance, enhance public awareness strategies, and evaluate administrative arrangements.

The meeting was attended by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Waheed Kakar, District Head of EPI Waseem Kakar, the program’s district in-charges, medical superintendents, field supervisors, and other relevant officials.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sagar Kumar said that measles and rubella are dangerous diseases, and vaccination is the only effective way to prevent them. He instructed health teams to ensure full coverage, particularly in remote areas, rural settlements, out-of-school children, and nomadic populations. He emphasized the need for strengthening coordination among all concerned departments.

DHO Dr. Waheed Kakar briefed the forum on daily progress, vaccination coverage, team deployment, field challenges, and proposed solutions. He stated that the health department is working with full dedication and has vaccinated a significant number of children.

EPI Head Waseem Kakar presented a report on the technical requirements of vaccination teams, vaccine supply, cold chain management, and monitoring mechanisms. He noted that all field teams are active and operating under a coordinated strategy to ensure campaign success.

Other officials also discussed their departmental performance and highlighted issues such as inaccessible areas, difficult terrain, and gaps in public awareness. Practical recommendations were shared to address these challenges.

In conclusion, Deputy Commissioner Sagar Kumar appreciated the efforts of the health department and assured full support from the district administration in eliminating measles and rubella. He instructed all teams to intensify their efforts to ensure the campaign achieves 100% success.
