Gwadar: A review meeting regarding the Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Dr. Abdul Shakoor. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including District Health Officer Dr. Yasar Tahir, Deputy DHO Dr. Shah Nawaz Baloch, WHO DSO Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Sheikh Sagheer, and representatives of relevant field teams.

The meeting included a detailed assessment of refusal cases, not-available cases, team performance, and target achievement. The reasons behind refusal cases were also examined, raising the question of what factors are contributing to these refusals.

During the session, teams expressed concern that private school owners were not cooperating adequately, which was hindering the overall progress of the campaign. In response, ADC General Dr. Abdul Shakoor instructed that the President of the Private Schools Association be summoned to ensure they are informed about the need for full cooperation with vaccination teams.

Dr. Abdul Shakoor emphasized that the Rubella vaccination campaign is vital for safeguarding children’s health, and therefore all institutions and stakeholders must ensure their complete support for its success.
