Loralai: Commissioner Loralai Division, Wali Muhammad Badeech, received a detailed briefing from Assistant Commissioner Bori Nadeem Akram and SSP Malik Asghar regarding the recent operations carried out against illegal poppy cultivation.

During the briefing, officials informed the Commissioner that poppy crops were destroyed on:

  • 1 acre in Killi Dhund,
  • 11 acres in Shah Karez Khidranzai, and
  • 4 acres in Ghulam Haider Karez.

In total, 15 acres of illegal cultivation were eliminated.

Authorities further reported the following actions during the operations:

  • Three submersible motors and tube wells were sealed,
  • Multiple solar panels were disabled, and
  • Water supply sources were cut off to prevent further irrigation.

Assistant Commissioner Nadeem Akram stated that FIRs are being registered against the landowners involved in the illegal cultivation. Their names are being placed on the Fourth Schedule, and their equipment has also been confiscated.

Commissioner Wali Muhammad Badeech appreciated the efforts of the teams involved and directed that joint anti-narcotics operations should continue on a daily basis to protect the younger generation from the menace of drugs.
