Addressing the meeting, Commissioner Salahuddin Noorzai emphasized that special attention must be paid to PSDP and BSDI schemes, ensuring that projects directly benefiting urban populations are completed at the earliest. He further instructed that development initiatives in rural areas must be aligned with the needs of local communities.

The Commissioner announced that surprise visits will be conducted to examine the quality of the ongoing schemes thoroughly. Stressing the need for timely completion of small BSDI projects, he directed that ongoing works—such as tough tiles and streetlights—must be finalized according to approved standards.

He further stated that any projects facing delays due to shortage of funds should be formally reported to higher authorities. Terming sluggish progress in development work as unacceptable, he instructed that once work orders are issued, immediate implementation must be ensured. Any negligence or irresponsibility in this regard will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those found negligent.
