Balochistan Government Imposes Section 144 in Quetta, Restrictions Until December 22

 

Web Desk: The Government of Balochistan’s Home Department has imposed restrictions under Section 144 in Quetta district. The order bans the display and use of firearms, double riding on motorcycles, use of dark-tinted vehicle glass, movement of unregistered motorcycles, gatherings of five or more people, processions or rallies, and the use of masks or mufflers to cover faces in public areas, including by women and children.

According to the notification, the transportation of acid and explosive materials is also strictly prohibited within the district. The police, levies, and Frontier Corps have been granted full authority to enforce these orders. Violators will face action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code and other applicable laws.

The Home Department has instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta to submit daily reports on the enforcement of these restrictions.
