News Desk: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Composite Circle Gwadar has arrested 24 individuals involved in illegally travelling to Iran via sea routes.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspects were apprehended during a major operation conducted in the coastal area of Jiwani. Initial investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were attempting to leave Pakistan illegally by sea to enter Iran, with plans to move onward to other countries through unlawful means.

The arrested suspects belong to various districts of Punjab. Among them, 12 are from Gujranwala, three from Rajanpur, and two from Muzaffargarh. The remaining seven individuals are from Sargodha, Kasur, Gujrat, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Authorities have registered cases against all the suspects and formally initiated investigations. The FIA stated that a nationwide crackdown is underway against those involved in human smuggling and illegal border crossings.

The spokesperson added that all available resources are being utilised to arrest individuals connected to such illegal networks and to curb unlawful migration through land and sea routes.
