News Desk: The Balochistan government has decided to take strict action against firms responsible for delays in the implementation of the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Program and to thoroughly review payments already released under the scheme. The decision was taken during a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

The meeting was briefed on progress made under the Government-to-Government (G2G) framework regarding the acquisition of Overseas Employment Promoters licenses by B-TEVTA. Officials informed the Chief Minister that the authority will directly engage with embassies of relevant countries to create structured overseas employment pathways for trained youth. The Chief Minister directed that training modules be upgraded in line with modern requirements and implementation be expedited to ensure timely outcomes.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the provincial government is further improving mechanisms to connect skilled youth with international job markets. He noted that overseas employment would help young people achieve financial stability while contributing foreign exchange to the national economy.

Earlier, the Chief Minister met Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain, where both leaders held detailed discussions on workforce development, youth skills enhancement, and expanding foreign employment opportunities. The Chief Minister briefed the federal minister on the objectives, current progress, and future roadmap of the youth skills program, emphasizing that Balochistan is adopting practical and coordinated measures to equip young people with market-driven skills.

He said the program focuses on training youth according to local and international market needs to promote self-reliance and improve employability abroad. Skilled youth, he added, would not only uplift their families’ economic conditions but also serve as a steady source of foreign remittances.

Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain appreciated the provincial government’s initiatives and assured full federal support. Both sides agreed to strengthen federal–provincial coordination to enhance training quality, expand overseas job opportunities, and improve institutional collaboration.
