Riaz Hussain Baloch:

Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC), in partnership with Community Development Committees (CDCs), held a Scholarship Award Ceremony in Nokkundi to celebrate academic excellence.

A total of 53 talented students from District Chagai, including 19 female students, were awarded fully funded scholarships under the RDMC Scholarship Program. The selected students will attend a six-month Foundation Program at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Sukkur.

Parents and community members attended the ceremony to acknowledge the students’ hard work and achievements.

RDMC Head of Sustainability, Ashley Price, said the company remains committed to people-centered development. She stressed that education is key to building strong and self-reliant communities and praised the students for earning the opportunity through dedication and discipline.

Representatives of the CDCs from Nokkundi, Humai, and Fan Sediments also addressed the gathering. They appreciated RDMC’s continued support for local development and pledged to work closely with the company for the long-term welfare of the communities.

During the event, certificates were presented to the scholarship recipients. The foundation program will help them strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and prepare for admission to universities across Pakistan.

RDMC General Manager Ryan Mitchell congratulated the students, noting that their success would benefit not only them but also their communities. He encouraged them to give back and contribute positively to society.

He also thanked CDC members for ensuring that RDMC’s community initiatives are aligned with genuine local needs.

RDMC continues to prioritize inclusive and sustainable development, with education as a central focus. The scholarship program is part of a broader effort that includes support for primary education and financial assistance to deserving university students from Balochistan.
