Qaseem Shah:
Quetta — Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced on Friday that Gwadar has become the first district in the province where all government schools are fully functional, marking a major milestone in the government’s education reform drive.
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that all 313 government-run primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools in Gwadar have been restored and are now operational. He described the achievement as proof that his government is turning its commitments into practical action.
“The revival of non-functional schools across Balochistan is ongoing. Gwadar has set an example by ensuring that not a single government school remains closed,” the Chief Minister stated. He reaffirmed his government’s pledge that very soon no school in the province would remain non-functional and no child would be left out of the education system.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti appreciated the efforts of the Gwadar district administration and the Education Department for achieving the target, calling their performance commendable. He emphasized that education remains a top priority for the provincial government and that similar results are expected from other districts.
The Chief Minister added that restoring schools is a crucial step toward improving literacy, reducing dropouts, and strengthening the future of Balochistan’s youth, assuring that the momentum will be maintained across the province.
