News Desk:Â Shahid Rind, Special Aide to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Political and Media Affairs, said on Saturday that security forces had neutralised more than 70 terrorists at different locations in the province over the last two days. In a statement posted on X, he added that following these losses, terrorist elements attempted retaliatory attacks in several areas, which were swiftly foiled by timely action from the police and the Frontier Corps.
According to security officials, terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan launched coordinated attacks early Saturday at more than 12 locations, including Quetta, Noshki, Dalbandin, Pasni, and Gwadar. Pakistan’s armed forces, Frontier Corps, and Balochistan Police responded immediately, preventing the attackers from causing large-scale damage.
During Saturday’s engagements alone, 37 terrorists were killed. Security sources revealed that throughout the operations, the militants remained in contact with their handlers based in Afghanistan, indicating cross-border coordination.
The successful operations, however, came with sacrifices. Ten security personnel were martyred while performing their duties, and several others sustained injuries while protecting civilians and sensitive installations.
Officials said that when combined with operations carried out over the previous two days, the total number of terrorists neutralised has risen to 88, delivering a significant blow to militant networks operating in Balochistan.
The provincial government reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and stability, stating that security forces remain on high alert and fully prepared to counter any future threats in the province.
