News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has taken strict notice of an alleged incident of police violence against a citizen arrested during a strike and ordered immediate, transparent, and impartial legal action against the police official involved.

In an official statement, the chief minister strongly condemned the reported act in which a police officer allegedly slapped a detained citizen, terming it inhuman and unprofessional. He said violations of the law would not be tolerated under any circumstances and stressed that law enforcement officials must operate strictly within the legal framework.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the protection of citizens’ dignity and fundamental human rights is the state’s core responsibility. He added that any misuse of authority by police personnel would invite strict accountability.

The chief minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure swift and unbiased proceedings against the officer involved to meet the ends of justice and prevent similar incidents in the future.

Reaffirming his stance, he said the Balochistan government remains committed to upholding the rule of law, ensuring transparency, and maintaining public trust by holding all officials accountable without exception.
