News Desk: A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) blast occurred outside the residence of Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, a senior provincial minister and parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, in Dera Murad Jamali, the headquarter of Naseerabad District.

According to police officials, the explosion damaged an electricity transformer installed outside his house. Security forces and police teams quickly reached the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.

Authorities confirmed that unidentified miscreants had planted the IED, while the motive behind the attack remains unknown. No casualties were reported.

In a statement to Quetta Voice, Sadiq Umrani strongly condemned the blast and called on the government to enhance his security, raising fresh concerns over the safety of political figures in Balochistan.
