Quetta: An anti-terrorism court in Quetta on Tuesday approved the bail plea of BNP chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal in a case linked to a public gathering held at Shahwani Stadium last year.

According to court proceedings, the court granted bail to Akhtar Mengal against surety bonds worth Rs50,000.

The case against the Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader was registered following a political gathering held at Shahwani Stadium in Quetta during the previous year.

Legal proceedings in the matter are expected to continue as per the court’s directions.
