Quetta : Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani visited Girls College Quarry Road Quetta and attended a special event on Climate Change Awareness and Flower Exhibition as the chief guest. During the ceremony, students showcased a variety of beautiful flowers, decorative plants, and creatively designed flower pots, while a special Floral Exhibition received great appreciation from participants and guests.

 

Speaking to media representatives, the Provincial Education Minister praised the students for their creativity, environmental awareness, and eco-friendly initiatives. She stated that Climate Change has become a major global challenge, with its effects being clearly felt across Balochistan and the rest of Pakistan. She emphasized that raising awareness among the younger generation about Environmental Protection, Global Warming, and Tree Plantation is the need of the hour.

 

Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani urged students to play an active role in promoting a clean, green, and sustainable environment through Eco-Friendly Activities and plantation campaigns. The event also included detailed awareness sessions on rising temperatures, environmental pollution, and the dangers posed by climate change.

 

The Provincial Minister congratulated Principal Farrukh Bashir and the college administration for successfully organizing the Flower Show and distributed appreciation certificates among students who demonstrated outstanding performance. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuing such positive and constructive initiatives in order to further promote awareness about Green Environment, Sustainability, and the importance of plants among students. A large number of teachers and students attended the event.
