News Desk: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) chief and Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai, along with several other party leaders, over alleged anti-state remarks made during a public gathering in Balochistan.

According to FIR No. 29/2026, the case was lodged following a complaint submitted by Abdul Wali Khan, a resident of Gulistan. The complainant alleged that Achakzai made controversial statements while addressing a public meeting attended by around 650 to 700 participants.

The FIR states that Achakzai allegedly criticized the law and order situation in Balochistan, claiming that the provincial government had failed to ensure public security. He also reportedly described the current administration as a “Form-47 government.”

Police records further allege that the opposition leader made remarks against state institutions and advocated the formation of an alternative force by mobilizing members of various tribes. The complaint claims that the speech attempted to create mistrust between citizens and state institutions and included statements that could incite public sentiment.

According to the FIR, the gathering also disrupted traffic and public movement, while loudspeakers were allegedly used to deliver speeches that authorities claim encouraged hostility toward state institutions.

Following the complaint, police registered a case against Achakzai and other party leaders under Sections 153, 505, 131, 341, 147, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code, as well as provisions of the Balochistan Sound System (Regulation) Act, 2016.

The investigation has been assigned to Sub-Inspector (SI) Ghulam Muhammad, who has begun further legal proceedings after visiting the site of the reported event.

No arrests have been officially announced so far. Meanwhile, neither Achakzai nor the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party has issued a formal response to the allegations contained in the FIR.
