The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) conducts its Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) every year for students seeking admission in MBBS and BDS programs in NUMS-affiliated institutions across Pakistan. The NUMS MDCAT 2026 is a highly important entry test for students aiming to secure admission in prestigious medical colleges such as Army Medical College Rawalpindi, CMH medical colleges, Bahria University Medical and Dental College Karachi, Foundation University Medical College, and Fazaia Medical College. Unlike PMDC MDCAT, NUMS MDCAT is a separate entry test and is mandatory for admission in NUMS-controlled institutions.

According to the latest official schedule, NUMS MDCAT 2026 registration has already started from 18 May 2026. Students are advised to apply before the closing deadline to avoid late fees or last-minute issues. The last date for regular registration is 8 June 2026 until 4:00 PM, while the late registration option remains open until 15 June 2026 with an additional fee. The NUMS MDCAT 2026 exam is expected to be held on 23 August 2026 (Sunday) at 10:00 AM across Pakistan and selected international test centers.

The fee structure for NUMS MDCAT 2026 varies depending on location and registration time. For candidates appearing in Pakistan, the regular registration fee is Rs. 7,500, while the late registration fee is Rs. 8,500. For international candidates, the fee is significantly higher, with Rs. 40,000 for regular registration and Rs. 50,000 for late registration. It is important to note that the fee submitted for NUMS MDCAT is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

Students are eligible to apply for NUMS MDCAT 2026 if they have completed FSc Pre-Medical, HSSC, A-Level, or an equivalent qualification with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as core subjects. Students who are currently waiting for their final results are also eligible to apply. The test is open for Pakistani nationals, overseas Pakistanis, dual nationals, and foreign students. Age restrictions apply according to NUMS policy, and candidates under 18 may require a NADRA juvenile card for verification purposes.

The application process for NUMS MDCAT 2026 is completely online. Candidates are required to visit the official NUMS admission portal and create an account using a valid email address and mobile number. After registration, applicants must fill in their personal and academic details carefully, ensuring accuracy with their educational documents. They are also required to select their preferred test center, either within Pakistan or abroad. Once the form is completed, candidates must upload required documents including CNIC, B-Form or passport, and a recent passport-size photograph.

After completing the application form, candidates are required to pay the registration fee using available payment methods such as KuickPay, online banking, debit or credit card, or bank challan through designated banks like Askari Bank. Once payment is confirmed, applicants must submit the form online and download the confirmation slip for future reference. The admit card for NUMS MDCAT 2026 will be issued later and must be printed and carried on exam day.

The NUMS MDCAT 2026 exam is a multiple-choice question-based test covering core science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and an aptitude-based psychological section. The syllabus is based on FSc Pre-Medical curriculum and focuses on conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization. The test is designed to evaluate analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and subject knowledge required for medical education.

Students must follow strict instructions on exam day. Candidates are required to arrive at least three hours before the test starts, as entry closes 30 minutes before the examination. Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, and any electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Biometric verification is mandatory, and candidates must bring their original admit card along with identification documents.

NUMS MDCAT 2026 is one of the most competitive medical entry tests in Pakistan, especially for students aiming for Army Medical College and other NUMS-affiliated institutions. Proper preparation, understanding of the syllabus, and timely registration are essential for success in this exam. Students are strongly advised not to wait until the last date and complete their application process as early as possible.

In summary, NUMS MDCAT 2026 registration is open from 18 May 2026, with the last date for regular registration on 8 June 2026 and late registration until 15 June 2026. The exam will be conducted on 23 August 2026. This test is a crucial gateway for admission into top military and NUMS-affiliated medical colleges in Pakistan.
