QUETTA: The Health Department Balochistan has issued final warning notices to 168 employees for remaining absent from official duties for an extended period without authorization, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
The department has directed the concerned employees to submit written explanations regarding their absence within seven days. Officials stated that the notices were issued after repeated reminders and instructions to report back to duty went unanswered.
The employees served notices belong to Technical, Lower Technical, and Non-Technical cadres working under various health institutions across the province.
The Health Department warned that strict departmental action would be initiated against employees who fail to submit explanations within the stipulated period or whose responses are found unsatisfactory.
According to the department, disciplinary proceedings will be conducted under the Balochistan Government Servants Efficiency and Discipline Rules, which provide for major penalties, including removal or dismissal from service in cases of prolonged unauthorized absence.
The department reiterated its commitment to ensuring discipline, employee accountability, regular attendance, and the effective delivery of public healthcare services across Balochistan.
