KHANOZAI: A sudden explosion on a motorcycle injured three individuals near the Khanozai area of Pishin district along the National Highway, local authorities confirmed on Friday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Inayat, the blast was accidental. The individuals riding the motorcycle were transporting explosive materials typically used in nearby chromite mines when the cargo unexpectedly detonated in transit.
”The explosive material went off suddenly while the motorcycle was in motion,” DSP Inayat stated, clarifying that the incident appears to be a mishap during transport rather than an act of terrorism.
Casualties and Medical Response
The blast resulted in severe injuries to all three riders. According to medical and police sources, two of the victims suffered leg amputations due to the impact of the explosion, and one remains in critical condition.
First responders rushed to the scene to provide immediate first aid. Due to the severity of their injuries, all three victims were subsequently transferred to a tertiary care hospital in Quetta for advanced medical treatment.
