By News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has ordered a Special Investigation Unit (SIU) probe into the murder of Mohammad Hashim Noorzai, owner of the popular Kabul Jan Restaurant in Quetta, directing law enforcement agencies to ensure the swift arrest of those responsible.

Chief Minister’s spokesperson Shahid Rind said the provincial government has sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan while transferring the high-profile murder case to the SIU for an independent and transparent investigation.

The investigation will be headed by an officer of Superintendent of Police (SP) rank, who will lead a specialized team tasked with identifying the perpetrators, collecting evidence, and ensuring a professional inquiry that leads to successful prosecution.

Expressing deep sorrow over the killing, Chief Minister Bugti extended condolences to the victim’s family and assured them that the government would pursue the case until the culprits are brought before the courts. He emphasized that no individual involved in the murder would escape the law.

According to Shahid Rind, Member of the Provincial Assembly Malik Naeem Bazai and the Deputy Commissioner Quetta are in contact with the bereaved family, who have been protesting following the incident. The provincial government is maintaining continuous engagement with the family to address their concerns.

Calling the murder a grave incident, the spokesperson said the Balochistan government is committed to strengthening law and order in Quetta by ensuring a fair, transparent, and timely investigation. He reiterated that authorities have been instructed to arrest the suspects without delay and deliver justice to the victim’s family.
