Quetta: According to reports received from the scenic tourist destination of Ziarat in Balochistan, unidentified armed men opened fire at Zero Point, Ziarat, leaving one person dead and three others injured, including two police personnel.

Sources said that the deceased and injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Among the injured are two police officials, identified as Asif Khan and Asghar Khan, who belong to the areas of Pechi and Milli Killi, respectively.

Reports further indicate that the deceased was a member of the Tablighi Jamaat, while another member of the religious group sustained injuries. Both individuals are said to be residents of Pishin district.

Following the incident, local residents staged a protest sit-in outside the Deputy Commissioner’s Office against the firing incident, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible and improved security measures in the region.
