By Our Correspondent: Unidentified armed men kidnapped six workers of a private mining company from the mountainous Shaban Dilwani Mari area of Zarghoon Ghar on Wednesday, triggering a security operation by law enforcement agencies, police sources said.

According to the sources, the armed attackers stormed the worksite while the laborers were performing their duties, held them at gunpoint, and forced them into an undisclosed location before escaping.

Following the incident, security personnel rushed to the area, cordoned off the surrounding mountains, and launched a search operation to locate the abducted workers and trace the perpetrators.

The kidnapped workers were identified as Jalat Khan, Muhammad Hashim, Kamal Khan, Jahangir Khan, Muhammad Azeem, and Rozay Khan. Police sources said all six belong to the Dummar tribe of the Pashtun community.

Authorities have not confirmed the motive behind the abduction, and no group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. Investigators are collecting evidence while search efforts continue in the rugged terrain of Zarghoon Ghar.

The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of workers employed at mining sites in Balochistan, particularly in remote areas where security challenges persist. Officials said every effort is being made to secure the safe recovery of the abducted workers.
