News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Monday visited victims injured in the Hanna Urak terrorist attack at a local hospital, directing health authorities to provide them with the best possible treatment and reaffirming the government’s commitment to defeating terrorism in the province.
Speaking to reporters after meeting the injured, Bugti said the government would continue operations against terrorists, their facilitators, and anti-state elements, adding that every attempt to spread fear among the people of Balochistan and challenge the writ of the state would be foiled.
The chief minister paid tribute to those killed in the attack and assured their families of the government’s full support. He announced that financial assistance was being distributed to the bereaved families and said the provincial government would fund the education, scholarships, guardianship, and other essential expenses of the martyrs’ children for the next 16 years.
Bugti praised the Balochistan Police, security forces, and other law enforcement agencies for their professionalism and courage in counterterrorism operations. He noted that one police officer had been injured for the fourth time in recent months while fighting terrorists, describing it as a symbol of the force’s dedication and resilience.
He said the Balochistan Police had rapidly strengthened its operational capabilities under the leadership of the Inspector General of Police, enabling it to respond more effectively to terrorist threats across the province.
The chief minister added that terrorists often target civilians and soft locations to spread fear and propaganda, but stressed that such attacks would not weaken the state’s resolve. He said senior government officials and police commanders reached the attack site immediately after the incident, ensuring a swift and coordinated response.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to restoring peace, Bugti said protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority and that all state institutions would continue working together to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace in Balochistan.
