Quetta : Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Operation Shaaban is progressing successfully following the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station, with security forces intensifying operations against terrorist groups across the province.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the writ of the state will be upheld at all costs in Balochistan, stressing that terrorists will not escape justice. He stated that the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police are conducting coordinated ground and aerial operations in rugged mountainous areas to eliminate terrorist hideouts.
Praising the professionalism, courage, and sacrifices of the security forces, Bugti said that the ongoing counter-terrorism operations will continue with full force until lasting peace is restored.
According to security sources cited by the Chief Minister, 39 terrorists have been killed during Operation Shaaban, while a total of 75 terrorists have been killed in multiple Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) conducted since July 5, 2026. He described these achievements as evidence of the security forces’ high morale, effective strategy, and operational excellence.
Bugti also said security forces successfully foiled a terrorist attack on a police station in the Zaidi area of Khuzdar on Friday through a swift and effective response. He said the incident reflects the preparedness and professional capability of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the people of Balochistan, the provincial government, and the security forces remain united against terrorism. He reiterated that there is no place in the province for terrorists or their facilitators and vowed that efforts to safeguard peace, stability, and development in Balochistan will continue without compromise.
