Quetta: Security forces have killed five more terrorists during the ongoing Operation Shabaan in Balochistan, taking the total number of militants killed in the operation to 57, security sources said on Saturday.

According to security sources, the joint operation being carried out by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and Balochistan Police is continuing in the Shabaan area, with forces conducting targeted actions against militants.

The latest operation involved effective ground actions against members of Fitna al-Khawarij, a term used by Pakistani security officials for militant groups, the sources said.

With the killing of five more terrorists, the number of militants eliminated during Operation Shabaan has increased to 57, according to security sources.

The sources further stated that since July 5, 2026, a total of 95 terrorists have been killed during Operation Shabaan and other intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Balochistan.

Security forces said the operation will continue until the elimination of the last terrorist involved in militant activities in the province.

The ongoing Shabaan operation in Balochistan comes amid intensified security efforts aimed at dismantling militant networks, clearing suspected hideouts, and improving security in the region.

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, has faced repeated security challenges in recent months, with law enforcement agencies carrying out operations against armed groups involved in attacks on security personnel and civilians.
