RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that lasting peace in Balochistan can be achieved through collective efforts by the security forces, law enforcement agencies and the people of the province.
Field Marshal Asim Munir made these remarks during his meeting with participants of the National Workshop Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ), where matters concerning the province’s security, stability and socio-economic development were discussed.
The Field Marshal said that targeted operations against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan would continue until the complete elimination of terrorism. He made it clear that terrorists posing a threat to Pakistan and their facilitators would be eliminated at all costs.
He further said that externally sponsored elements were attempting to disrupt peace and stability in Balochistan. The armed forces, with the support of the people, would foil all nefarious designs of the country’s enemies, he added.
Describing Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir said the province was blessed with abundant natural resources and was home to patriotic and resilient people.
He noted that the federal and provincial governments were implementing public welfare-oriented initiatives aimed at promoting the social and economic development of Balochistan.
Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that national unity, resilience and collective efforts were essential for securing Pakistan’s bright and prosperous future.
The participants of the National Workshop Balochistan reaffirmed their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, development, sovereignty and national unity.
