Web Desk: Four suspected militants were killed and a large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by Pakistan’s security forces in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district, Balochistan, according to security sources.
The operation, carried out under Operation Azm, also resulted in the seizure of several motorcycles allegedly used by the suspected militants. Security sources said the action was based on intelligence aimed at dismantling militant networks active in the region.
According to security sources, several other suspected militants were injured during the operation, while multiple individuals allegedly involved in facilitating militant activities were taken into custody for further investigation.
Security forces have continued search and clearance operations in and around Khad Kocha to locate any remaining suspects and ensure the area is secure. A strong security presence has been maintained as the operation continues.
The latest intelligence-based operation follows recent militant incidents reported in the Mastung district. Security sources said counterterrorism operations have been intensified to target militant hideouts and disrupt their activities.
Security officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-led operations across Balochistan until militant networks are dismantled and peace and stability are restored in the province.
