News Desk: Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 32 terrorists during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Wednesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the coordinated operations targeted militant hideouts in both provinces as part of Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace.
24 Terrorists Neutralised in Khyber District
The ISPR said security forces carried out multiple intelligence-led operations in Khyber district on July 28 and 29, killing 24 terrorists identified by the military as members of Fitna-al-Khawarij.
The operations were launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the area. Security forces successfully cleared the targeted locations during the missions, the statement added.
Eight Terrorists Killed in Nushki
In a separate operation in Nushki district, Balochistan, security personnel engaged suspected militants in an intense exchange of fire, killing eight terrorists linked by the military to Fitna-al-Hindustan.
The ISPR said troops recovered and destroyed a cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) allegedly used by the militants during the operation.
Security forces have launched follow-up clearance operations in the area to ensure that any remaining terrorist elements are eliminated, the statement said.
Pakistan Vows to Continue Counterterrorism Operations
The military said the operations were conducted under the national counterterrorism framework Azm-i-Istehkam, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and disrupting militant infrastructure across the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for the successful operations, commending their professionalism and resolve. He said the elimination of the militants dealt a significant blow to terrorist networks and reflected the state’s determination to restore lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has intensified intelligence-based operations in recent weeks as security forces continue targeting militant groups involved in attacks on civilians and security personnel in the country’s western regions.
